While we hope that you are delighted with your order, if you are not perfectly satisfied with your goods we will happily offer you a full refund or exchange. EXCHANGES AND REFUNDS We must stress that in order to receive a refund or exchange, the item(s) must be unworn and/or unused and in perfect condition, with all the labels attached and in the original packaging. Please follow the steps below: Contact us (on the details below) within 7 days of receiving your Item(s), we will issue you with a Returns Number. Detail the Returns Number on your receipt, and enclose with the item(s) you wish to return. Your items must be shipped to us using chosen courier. Please email for details: footnotes@delightfulevents.co.uk The shipping charges you will incur through returning a package (excluding furniture) are detailed in Pound Sterling as follows. £10.00 within the UK £20.00 within the EU and outside the EU We can only issue refunds or exchanges on items that are shipped back to us within 14 days of receipt and are in a ‘saleable condition’ What do you mean by "saleable condition"? Upon receipt of your products, we will inspect the goods and determine if they are in "saleable condition"...we are just trying to determine if any wear or damages occurred that might prevent us from re-selling it. DAMAGED OR FAULTLY GOODS Please advice of any damaged or faulty goods within 24 hours of receipt of purchase and a replacement will be sent to you or a full refund will be credited to your account as soon as the goods are returned to us. A returns number will be emailed to you that must be quoted on the returned item indicating if you wish to have a replacement or a refund. SPECIAL ORDERS AND FURNITURE Payment is required in full to start production of your special/custom furniture order. Estimated shipping dates for all special orders are 8 to 12 weeks. Please Note: Special orders, due to their uniqueness, are not cancelable. Please keep in mind that some of our products are custom-made and for those items, shipments may take up to eight (8) to twelve (12) weeks. We do stock a large portion of our products and those are shipped out within five (5) business days. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and are not eligible for a refund. Our larger products are shipped via UPS or similar, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all correct documentation and import taxes are paid at the point of entry please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further information. ORDER CANCELATION If you have placed an order for a standard stock item and wish to cancel please contact us as soon as possible either by emailing footnotes@delightfulevents.co.uk or telephoning +44(0)118 9664488. In cases of standard stock items a full refund will be given. FREIGHT DAMAGE If there is damage or shortage on your order, please refuse acceptance until transportation agent endorses the extent of damage or shortage. Please also file a claim immediately with the carrier and be prepared for the carrier to come to your location to inspect the damages. HIDDEN DAMAGE Inspect the shipment if any hidden damage is suspected BEFORE the carrier leaves. Reports and damage claims for all carriers is the sole responsibility of the customer. Because our carriers are very strict about this, we ask that you take a moment to inspect your furniture when it arrives and before the delivery person leaves. RETURNING GOODS FROM NON EU COUNTRIES If you are receiving your order outside the EU, you will also have received a Proforma Invoice with your package; this must be completed and enclosed with the items you wish to return. On this form please indicate which item(s) are being returned by ticking the boxes alongside the product details. Complete the Returns Number section with the number you have been issued and sign appropriately. All successfully returned items will be only credited to the account used to originally purchase the items, less any taxes or import duties incurred. We are also unable to refund any shipping charges. With exchanges, your new item(s) will be shipped to you as soon as we receive your returning package and any additional payment which is required.
